WHY "ATTEND" THE NAILBA SUMMER SYMPOSIUM?

The NAILBA Summer Symposium 2021 agenda is focused on looking forward. Together, we can "crack the code!" Between the global pandemic, lockdowns, and adjustments via technology (accelerated underwriting), professionals in all sectors of the industry had to shift gears in order to navigate the uncertainty that ensued—particularly when it came to sales and marketing.

Per the Wall Street Journal, U.S. households from a range of incomes are buying more life-insurance policies than in years past. The number of life-insurance policies sold jumped 11% in the first quarter from a year earlier, the biggest gain since 1983, according to the industry research firm Limra. The boost extends the sales increases that began last year as deaths related to Covid-19 led many consumers to buy coverage.

Now is the time to navigate this increased demand utilizing the latest sales and marketing technologies. Learn "What thought leadership is – and what it’s not (HINT: It’s not a sales pitch)," how to strategically enhance both advisor and consumer engagement and metrics, metrics, metrics...if it can be measured, it can be improved. We’ve invited leading experts to talk on all these topics and more. As you can always expect from NAILBA, a heavy dose of LEADERSHIP discussion will be present throughout the symposium.

  • Employment Law Implications of Covid-19

During this session, Edward Easterly of Hlavac & Easterly Attorneys at Law will discuss the many ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted businesses and employers.  Legal issues that will be discussed include the COVID-19 vaccines (can you mandate? can you “card” individuals?),  furloughs and layoffs, “reopening” the workplace, mask mandates (for employees, visitors, and guests), and more.  Attorney Easterly will provide information and guidance on how to avoid lawsuits and provide guidance to clients during this trying time for businesses.

  • The Modern Tech Sales Experience: Discover how Modern Technology is Transforming Sales Experiences

Today’s technology paradigms are offering exciting opportunities to automate and streamline sales through unified technology. Modern technology provides a better user experience for agents, drives adoption, and ultimately improves operations and drives down costs. By leveraging modern technology, producers are no longer stuck having to jump through multiple disparate technology solutions to get through the sales process. Instead, producers and clients are experiencing enhanced and accelerated sales experiences. Hear from our carrier and distributor panelists how they are leveraging the power of modern technology to eliminate duplication and offer agents tools that provide an end-to-end, cohesive sales process and experience.

  • Social Security Expertise: 5 Reasons To Consider Offering Social Security Advisory Services, NRSSA

The Social Security claiming decision is more complex than many retirees, and their retirement professionals, may realize. Without a comprehensive and detailed analysis of all claiming age scenarios, retirees can miss out on tens, and even hundreds, of thousands of dollars over their lifetimes. With over 75 million Baby Boomers and 10,000 reaching eligibility every day, the current environment for expert Social Security advice has never been higher. NAILBA members with the Social Security expertise to provide advice on this universal retirement topic will differentiate themselves and their businesses. Social Security advisory services can add value, attract new clients, and increase the profitability of businesses by responding to the current high demand for this service.
