On Friday, March 8, 2019, "NAILBA Now" was emailed to all membership and partners. This email was especially important as it addressed Genworth’s public statement regarding “Suspension of Long Term Care and Income Assurance Annuity Sales through the BGA channel.”

As NAILBA is the voice of independent distribution, we are deeply concerned about this course of action. Genworth has been a trusted partner in the BGA space and supported NAILBA programmatic activity for many years. We are hopeful this is only a temporary course of action and access to any ongoing blocks of business will not be impacted. In the meantime, NAILBA will be requesting more information and closely monitoring this situation.
