You keep hearing from us that the 2013 NAILBA Charitable Foundation grant application is coming. You might wonder, “What does this have to do with me? I’M not applying for a grant, am I?”
Technically, no. BUT, a charity in your community that you support can’t apply without you!
As I wrote in the March/April edition of Perspectives the NAILBA sponsor (member agency principal or staff or employee of a current corporate supporter) is the keystone to a successful grant application. Your participation in your community is important to you and your business, and it is you who will make the critical connection between that organization who needs our help and the grant review committee who will evaluate their request.
The grant application is being mailed to NAILBA member agencies and corporate supporters the first week of May—keep an eye out for it and share it as soon as possible with the charity (or charities) you support. If you want a head start, the application can be found online here. Because of our unique set up, this grant opportunity is not advertised. Charities won’t know of this opportunity unless they hear about it from YOU.
Completed grant applications are due July 19, 2013. Grant funding notifications will be provided at the end of the summer to organizations selected to receive grants. Grantees and their sponsors will be highlighted at NAILBA 32 in Dallas, as well as in the November/December issue of Perspectives. Don’t let your favorite charity miss out!
