NAILBA Seeks Nominations for Education Excellence Award

The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) announced today that it is seeking nominees for the second annual NAILBA Education Excellence Award. 

This award was designed in 2007 to recognize an individual or entity whose contributions and service to education and learning programs have increased the overall caliber of professionalism in the life insurance industry.

“Education is an integral component to any industry—but in the world of the life insurance business, education is simply essential to smart business,” stated NAILBA Chairman of the Board Doug Mishkin. 

Last year’s award recipient, Cindy Gentry of Brown and Brown Associates, stated “Education, I believe, is an integral part of our ever changing industry.  Not only do we have to keep ourselves educated, we need to continually bring new ideas and information to our producers to help keep them ahead of their game.” 

Nominees will be judged based on their active involvement in design and implementation of educational programs; their promotion and support of educational development throughout the industry; and their contributions to NAILBA education programs including, but not limited to, NAILBA member education and agent education.

Nominations will be accepted until August 31, 2008.  Incomplete nominations will be returned to the nominator for additional information.  The award will be presented at the NAILBA 27 Annual Meeting, November 13-15 in San Diego, California.
