NAILBA Announces Succession Planning Workshop
(Fairfax, Va.) The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) will host a succession planning workshop on Thursday, May 29 immediately prior to the opening of FOCUS 2008.
“The BGA pool is aging, and NAILBA needs to provide information on how to bring in the next generation of leaders,” stated NAILBA Chairman of the Board Doug Mishkin. “This workshop shows agencies how to transition their business to these new leaders to ensure the propagation of the wholesale brokerage industry.”
Developed as the first program in its new Leadership and Management Development series, the succession planning workshop has been created to help agency owners, their successors, family and other key staff better understand how to grow, develop and plan for the future of their business.
“The next generation of agency owners will receive a strong foundation of core leadership and management concepts directly related to the scenarios and challenges they will face,” continued Mishkin. “The session will be full of entrepreneurial expertise and insights and offer practical, applicable resources and takeaways that will have strategic impact and value for years to come.”
The pre-FOCUS Succession Planning Workshop is free to all NAILBA member agencies. To register for this event, please use the FOCUS registration form, available at www.nailba.org/content/meetingsandconferences/documents/FOCUS2008RegistrationForm.pdf. If you have any questions, please contact NAILBA’s Director of Meetings and Education Michele Liston at (703) 383-3081 or e-mail mliston@nailba.org.
