FOCUS 2008 to Focus on Sales
(Fairfax, Va.) In a recent NAILBA survey, nearly 80 percent of the independent agents surveyed indicated that access to sales and marketing tools were important when it came to selecting a broker. However, 25 percent of survey respondents indicated they were not satisfied with their BGA’s sales material.
With this in mind, sales teams from brokerage general agencies around the country will descend upon FOCUS 2008, May 29-30 in Dallas, Texas, for an interactive learning environment designed to arm sales staff with the knowledge and resources required to help agents increase their sales.
“Our goal when we began working on this year’s event was to present an unrivaled lineup of sales experts, interactive learning experiences, and real world business planning modules to help agencies grow their businesses,” said NAILBA 2008 Meetings Chairman Mark Rosen. “By offering sales-specific tools and resources that the agency can share with its agents, FOCUS 2008 will help the BGA position itself as the agent’s resource.”
This year’s line-up includes a general session on Life Insurance Sales Ideas in the Business Market and the following confirmed workshops:
- Selling More Permanent Insurance By Positioning Life Insurance as an Asset Class
- Expand Sales by Enhancing Relationships with CPAs and other Centers of Influence
- Point of Sale Training for Internal and External Sales Associates
- Making Every Call Count: Expanding Your Sales Teams Telephone Sales Techniques
“With the anticipated influx of younger agents and BGA staff, it is essential for BGAs to provide resources that will help them be successful in today’s changing marketplace,” continued Rosen. “FOCUS is the once-a-year opportunity to interact with other BGA staff members who have the same core responsibilities as your team.”
