(Fairfax, VA) – During its Business Meeting on Friday, November 16, the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) elected four new members to its 2008 Board of Directors, a 12-member Board representing 350 member agencies.

The new members are:

  • Barbara A. Crowley, Brokers Clearing House, Ltd. (West Des Moines, Iowa)
  • Steven J. Finkle, National Brokerage Associates, Inc. (Rockville, Md.)
  • Raymond S. Phillips, Jr., CLU, LTCP, The Brokers Source, Ltd. (Pittsburgh, Penn.)
  • Dex Umekubo, CLU, ChFC, Producer’s XL (Salina, Kansas)

“Each of the individuals who were elected brings experience to the Board. Each is well respected in the industry.” said Doug Mishkin, NAILBA’s incoming Chairman of the Board. “These members will bring new breath into NAILBA, which I think is quite necessary.”

The 2008 NAILBA Board of Directors plans to build on the foundation established in 2007 in the areas of government affairs, industry relations, and member benefits. MIshkin notes, "This year our members will begin to see the myriad programs we've been planning and working on. We're going to make an impact in the field."
