NAILBA to ABIA: Build a Profit Center through Life Insurance Sales
(Fairfax, Va.) On Sunday, September 16, representatives of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) will present a panel discussion at this week’s American Bankers Insurance Association (ABIA) Conference on how banks can effectively partner with NAILBA member agencies to build a profit center through life insurance sales.
NAILBA Chairman John W. Felton, IV and Carlos Whaley, Associate General Agent at the
Tennessee Brokerage Agency, will discuss how independent brokerage agencies can help banks integrate life insurance sales in retirement planning strategies in order to position the bank for future success.
“In today’s era of retiring baby boomers, bank-driven life insurance, fixed annuity, long term care insurance, and disability income sales represent the most lucrative, yet undeveloped revenue opportunities in banks of all size operations,” stated Felton.
“A BGA can assist bank insurance distribution throughout the entire sales process; researching any number of carriers for the best rate classification, product and price; handling the time-consuming medical and back office underwriting process, and finally, delivering the policy to the bank agent with a minimum of operational costs,” he continued.
The American Bankers Insurance Association (ABIA) is the insurance affiliate of the American Bankers Association(ABA). The ABIA's mission is to develop policy and provide advocacy for banks in insurance and to support bank insurance operations through research, education, compliance-assistance and peer group networking opportunities.
